College Magazine - Images

I have chosen this photo to be in my favourite choices of photos, because I believe it captures the happiness of the student. By using a photograph of a student who does not look happy whilst in a college environment (in this photograph, the library), then it does not give a good image of the college.

I have chosen the theme of the college magazine to be persuasive, and informative. In order to be persuasive to possible students who may choose Wyke College as their future college, then it is vital for the student in the photograph to look as though they are happy with their choice of Wyke College.

The reason I have chosen this photograph to be in my favourites is similar to the reasons I have given to the first photograph.

The student looks happy, which has a good refelction on the image of the college. She has a selection of books both in front of her, and in the background, which could give the impression she is studying. Because of the student's facial expressions, it also reflects the idea she is happy to be studying, and also happy to be studying at Wyke College.

This could also be persuasive for anybody who is applying, or thinking of applying to be a student at Wyke College, because of the reputation it reflects on the college.

By having Wyke College in the background, both part of the building, and the logo too, it allows readers of the magazine to know what the college looks like etc. Because the background of the photograph has some bright colours involved, it is also eye catching to the reader of the magazine too.

By the student giving a 'thumbs up' in the photograph, it could show a positive attitude of attending college. 'Thumbs up' reflects a positive message, and sends out t he message of 'Great!'. Because of the college environment (the library) that the student is in, it could send out the message that she is happy to be in the library, and in Wyke College too.
